Working student in trade compliance for transatlantic commerce

Area of responsibility:

• Support in the development and implementation of trade compliance strategies for transatlantic trade
• Analysis and evaluation of trade regulations and agreements, in particular between the EU and the US
• Supporting the monitoring of and compliance with customs regulations, export controls and sanctions provisions
• Conducting research and preparing reports on current developments in the area of trade compliance
• Support in communicating with customers and authorities and in resolving compliance-related issues

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in law, business administration, economics or a related field, ideally with a focus on international trade law or trade relations
• Interest in legal and economic issues in the transatlantic trade environment
• Analytical skills and the ability to understand and precisely document complex issues
• Independent and structured way of working as well as ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
• Confident handling of MS Office applications, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
